if you're thinking about doing this, note that the sensor I used in the video is no longer available from amazon. The below sensor Might work, but I have not tested it. There is a review on the part on amazon that says somebody used it for their Monoprice Maker Select v2, but I have not tested that to verify.


Also, there was an issue with the sensor I was using where only some of the sensors would actually get enough power from the Arduino Uno to be able to sense the bed effectively. So I created the New video (link above) that explains how to do hook up the sensor by using a Voltage Divider circuit and avoiding the Arduino all together. If you decide to try the sensor below, and it doesn't work for some reason, you may want to consider trying the method in the other video. Also, if you do try the sensor below and it works, please leave a comment on this video to let me know.
