Detailed review and test of the 2024 Toyota C-HR hybrid SUV, including fuel economy, handling, pricing, features and more.

The new-generation Toyota C-HR has arrived and it's far, far more expensive than before. Is it worth the vastly increased price? We drive all three variants (GXL, Koba and GR Sport) to find out.

The C-HR comes in a choice of 103kW 1.8-litre single-motor or 146kW 2.0-litre dual-motor petrol-hybrid powertrains, with sharper styling, more cabin space and fuller tech fitout.

With the revised entry point now $42,990, pricing has jumped significantly - as much as $11K to $16K higher depending on grade - from the last to the new generation, with the top dog GR Sport starting from $54,990 and topping out at a lofty $63,400 as tested.
