Here is the new Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster driven on Top Gear track at Dunsfold Aerodrome, quite simply the USA’s rival hypercar to the Bugatti. It’s crazy fast, which is the manufacturer Hennessey’s main aim, to reach top speeds of faster then 300 mph to become the world’s fastest production car, in my opinion they are going in the right direction!

I was invited to the Top Gear Track to experience the new Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster, Hennessey’s new 2-door roadster. They are aiming to become the USA’s rival to Bugatti, assembled in Hennessey Performance HQ in Texas, USA.

The Hennessey Venom F5 has a Hennessey V8 6.6L twin turbo ‘Fury’ engine, with 1817 hp & 1617lb-ft torque can reach 0-60mph in just 2.6 seconds and reach 186mph in only 8.4 seconds, and 0-250mph in 15.5 seconds! This beast is fast! Hennessey propose the top speed to be an eye watering 311mph a serious contender against Bugatti and Koenigsegg. A serious hypercar. And remember it’s a roadster.

The Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster has the same carbon fibre monocoque tub as the Venom F5, the single piece carbon fibre roof is secured in place with 4 quick release blots and a pair of latches so is easy to remove and install. On Top Gear’s track at Dunsfold Aerodrome, in my opinion the performance of the Venom F5 Roadster was impressive, in both dry and wet.
