University of Oxford Trust Fellow Rachel Botsman joins us for a Q&A with WIRED UK's Editor-in-Chief, Greg Williams to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on our trust and confidence in government, data, science – and even ourselves.

In this session, part of the WIRED Foresight series, we explore the different dimensions of trust, the variables affecting the perception of institutions, and the importance of good transparency from the government at a time of crisis.

Botsman shares her perspective on why and how our trust is shifting, the impact and consequences of communication, and how the government could offer better transparency.

Botsman is the host of the podcast series Trust Issues, and offers a bi-weekly newsletter on LinkedIn, "Rethink with Rachel".

Designed as an extension of WIRED’s long-running live conference portfolio, these punchy, deliberate and engaging sessions reflect the same high calibre of speakers and programming featured at a WIRED event.
