Nationally speaking, the housing market seems to be on fire at the moment, but anyone investing in real estate should know that in these 15 cities, the 2020 housing market crash has already begun. That’s right… I’ll go over the 15 cities that you’ll want to steer clear of if you want to get the best return on your investment.

Although the 2020 housing market crash is showing up in these cities in distinct ways, there are several similarities that make investing in real estate a bad idea in these places if your investment strategy is dependent on APPRECIATION.

The first thing is the fact that prices are trending downward. In fact, nationally in 2021, houses are supposed to appreciate an average of 7 percent. These cities are seeing downward trends ranging anywhere from 2 to 5 percent.

Additionally, these cities are experiencing a high number of underwater mortgages (where the owner owes more on their property than what it’s worth) and foreclosures. Those kinds of stats indicate that it’s going to be difficult to make a profit in these areas.

When investing in real estate, it’s important to know which numbers to focus on. The 2020 housing market crash may not be visible everywhere, but it’s certainly being felt in these 15 cities.
