It's that time of year again! Our Justin Pritchard knows a thing or two about winter tires — after all, he lives in northern Ontario — so we asked him for some recommendations on some of the most notable winter tires.

These observations are not based on controlled-surface testing of one specific vehicle in one specific satiation, but rather real-world in-the-driver’s-seat experiences in widely varying real-life conditions. Justin's put about a half-million kilometres on several dozen types of winter tires, and across hundreds of vehicles. Much of his driving takes place in severe winter conditions, travelling busy highways from southern and central Ontario, to his home up north in Sudbury.
