Meta revealed the Meta AR Glasses that are ready for Metaverse. These futuristic AR (Augmented Reality) glasses are made by Meta and the AR glasses enable you to interact with the world around you. These AR glasses are very important for augmented reality and maybe even VR (virtual reality). Virtual reality and augmented reality are becoming a big thing now as many companies are working on products that will make the stay in Metaverse easy and comfortable. There are virtual reality suits, shoes, and now, gloves and now also AR Glasses. This video is about the Meta AR Glasses that are made by Meta. Meta currently owns the VR headset Oculus, Quest, and Quest 2. We’ll also cover other AR Glasses-related things such as Rayban Stories and the future of Augmented Reality.

As the Metaverse is coming, we are about to exist in two worlds at the same time. The first is the world we are already familiar with. It is physical, tangible, and real. The second is a virtual world where anything is possible. It will be like playing a game but you’ll be INSIDE that game. If you already have a VR headset, you know what I’m talking about but the truth is that most people haven’t been inside a Virtual Reality yet.

Currently, there are companies like Oculus with its Oculus Rift and Oculus Quest VR Headset which provides the immersive experience of being INSIDE a game and interacting with the virtual world using the current Touch Controllers.

Join us today as we take a deep dive into Facebook's Metaverse where we will explore what this digital world is and the Meta AR Glasses, that will allow us to be a part of it.

In October 2021, Facebook officially changed its name to 'Meta'. This change was a strategic move meant to usher in a technology they had been working on for the better part of the decade; an immersive digital universe.

Their first solid attempt at creating this was with the social virtual world, Facebook Horizon. However, it never took off and at the moment, it is in an invite-only phase for beta testers.

With the recent surge in popularity of NFTs, cryptocurrency, and the blockchain, dreams of a decentralized Metaverse appear to be assembling.

Facebook's metaverse takes up a section of that digital universe but introduces a bridge to this new world that opens an unfathomable realm of possibilities.

We are talking about possibilities that will take us closer to an immersive digital world which you must admit will be cool whether or not you agree with the company's policies.

Interacting with the metaverse

If our interaction with the Metaverse was restricted to a glass screen, it would be just another bland invention. If all we could ever do to explore this new world was swipe and click, would there be a point?

For example, Decentraland is a digital world on the blockchain where users play games, buy and own lands using cryptocurrency. While the concept of this platform is as intriguing as it is promising, one problem it faces is its lack of immersiveness.

Imagine this; what if you could be transported into the digital world of Decentraland. What if you could walk on a digital land you bought in real-time. This is the question that Facebook is answering with Meta AR Glasses and thankfully, they are not alone.

For the past decade, companies like Microsoft, Apple, Metamaterial, and some other tech companies have been trying to bridge the gap between our physical world and the virtual world.

There are two methods that they have employed over the years and it is important you are familiar with them in order to fully understand the possibilities of this move for immersiveness.

They are Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR).

If you are familiar with some of the many side projects these tech companies dabble in then you might have heard these two terms thrown around a couple of times.

VR refers to a digital environment provided by a computer where users can experience, interact, and determine what happens in the digital environment.

AR refers to an enhanced version of our physical world where we can view and interact with digital elements superimposed within our physical world.

In simpler terms, VR is the Oasis in Ready Player One and AR is the cool stuff that Tony Stark interacts with in his Lab.
