This isn't Westlake Village on the other side of the mountains, this is Westlake neighborhood on the other side of the city. And it couldn't be more distant in demographics. Located next to downtown, Westlake is one of the older neighborhoods in the city, dating back to the late 1800s. It has been through many transformations over the years, but these days it is a working class neighborhood that's home to a large immigrant population. After a fabulous café, we check out this old community, visit a historic building, and then roll through the commercial area before heading back to the west side.

On a side note, my video editing software decided to delete 70% of my videos. Fortunately, I was able to recover half of them, including the footage of Westlake. So we still get to check out the neighborhood, we just get there are back a little faster than usual:). Lessons were learned. Enjoy the ride!
