In this video, I test two different thermal modifications as well as the stock setup.

I did this testing after I discovered that my M1-based MacBook Air stopped charging due to excessive battery temperature after making the modifications that I saw on a few different YouTube videos and using it under moderate to heavy CPU and GPU loading.

The video details some interesting discoveries that I made, including the fact that many of the videos out there using thermal cameras (although well-intentioned) are not properly configured, and give erroneous measurements. Watch to discover more!

1. The configuration that I found in a few different already existing YouTube videos.
2. The second is the stock configuration.
3. The configuration that I came up with that I thought would work best.
