Throughout the Second World War, there were a number of horrific SS officers who were known for their torture and executions that they carried out. Gerhard Flesch was a brutal and ruthless man who was a Gestapo Agent as well as a Einsatzkommano commander. He was responsible for hundreds of executions inside of occupied lands, but he was then sent to Norway.
In Norway he was the commandant of the Falstad concentration camp, and he was also known for torturing members of the resistance inside of the occupied nation. However at the end of the war, Flesch tried to escape but he was captured before he was sentenced to death for his horrific crimes. He was then executed by a firing squad inside of a fortress.
