NHS Dumfries and Galloway is now sending out details on patient appointments via text and email.

This is similar to how some GP practices and dentists already send out details about appointments, making the process quicker and more environmentally friendly.

If you’re expecting to attend an appointment and receive a text or email, please click the link to confirm your attendance, or to reschedule.

You might also receive messages to complete essential online forms ahead of an operation.

And if there’s been a long wait between appointments, you may be asked to let us know about any change in your circumstances.

If you don’t respond, a letter will follow in the post. But please, respond to texts and emails from NHS Dumfries and Galloway if you can - for a more efficient, greener approach to patient appointments.
