I finally go over the details behind my Viper. All Vipers are special but my RT/10 stands alone in terms of its rarity. The Gen 2 Vipers had very minimal options, so slight anomalies can make a car stand out.

The Cognac interior became available in 1999 but only for the Black and Silver Vipers, not for Red Vipers. However, 3 Red/Cognac RT/10s and 3 Red/Cognac GTSs were still made in 1999. 1999 was a key year as it was the last year of the forged internals with the 708 camshafts. There is an unofficial 20whp decrease in the 2000-2002 Dodge Vipers because of the internal motor revisions. Many suggest 1999 as the best year of the Viper if ABS is not a requirement (ABS came installed in 2001-2002 Vipers.)
