How To Setup A Raspberry Pi To Work With HolidayCoro Hinkspix Controller & Config FPP Falcon Player

In today’s video I show you How To Setup A Raspberry Pi To Work With A Holiday Coro Hinkspix Controller and configure FPP Falcon Player.

You might be like me and you’ve decided to run your light show from a raspberry pi so you can control and adjust your show remotely, even on the fly and not have to keep saving sequences to an SD card or tie up a laptop computer that needs to run the show.

The problem is when I setup my raspberry pi I couldn’t just get it to talk to my hinkspix controller, I needed to do some configuring such as setting up a proxy host first before my show would work. I’m creating this video to show you how to do that setup.

Before following the instructions in this video:
-You’ll need to have a raspberry pi up and running with falcon player installed on it - if you don’t have that setup yet, you can find links below to the raspberry pi I’m using and a link to another video showing you how to install the falcon player software on it
-You’ll need to have your light show setup in xlights with the exact models and number of lights you’ll be using. You’ll also need to know how many lights are on each universe coming out of your controller and any long range receivers you may have configured.
-You’ll need to have your hinkspix controller configured for your light show setup
You can reference the videos I’ve linked in this video description to see how I’ve setup my lightshow and controller
-You’ll need to make sure your hinkspix controller is setup to receive data from E131 and not the SD card (I’ve linked to a video that shows you how to do this)
