BMW doesn't offering a fully electric version of the 3 Series to rival the Tesla Model 3 and Polestar 2. The company does, however, have a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version called the 330e, giving you the benefit of electric running around town and good ol' oil power when munching miles on the motorway.

The 330e has a claimed all-electric range of 36 miles, according to WLTP standards, and CO2 figures are kept to a minimum, making the electrified 3 Series a great option for a company car.

But not all 330e buyers will be clocking up 40,000 miles a year, so how does it stack up as a daily driver? Should you buy one, or should you hold off for the electric 3 Series - the upcoming i4?
