This is a song I made up for the lockdown music sessions in 2020 we put these out when it became impossible for me to run my regular drop in music shows in Oxford and around the country. It was just before the POPCAST series came out.
“The Afternoon Get-Togethers” were about 25 minutes long and featured lots of dedications to all the families in lockdown not only in the UK but all around the world. It featured many songs from my back catalogue . My favourite bit of the show was when Norman my whippet would do little shout outs to the audience and especially to the children’s parents and family members, many of who were key workers working tirelessly in the NHS.
