What are Wetlands? The Terai, southern plains of Nepal is home to all of the wetlands in Nepal. Rich in biodiversity, and a source of fertile agricultural soil, these wetlands are vital for the proper functioning of our ecosystems, and for the sequestration (capturing) of CO2 from the atmosphere.
