This demonstrator highlights the existing synergies between the three institutes and their fields of expertise:
IRT Saint Exupéry produced the carbon/PAEK prepregs which allowed IRT M2P to perform the draping step by the Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) process. The stamping and trimming of the sides were also carried out at IRT M2P. He has been transmitted the consolidated layers to IRT Jules Verne which shaped and overmoulded the material thanks to its dedicated equipment.
The finalization of the demonstrator was carried out by the IRT Saint Exupéry with the functionalization by using direct printing technology to add an electric track. Then a Non Destructive Inspection has been performed by tomography.
