Should faith communities pay attention to the ways they minister people living with dementia and their care partners? (This includes persons living at home as well as those in residential care settings.) This webinar will employ the 10 key areas of dementia-friendly communities, as proposed by the Alzheimer’s Society in the UK, to suggest how faith communities can assess their worship, programs, and physical space to ensure persons with dementia are involved in all aspects of their life together. The webinar will also describe barriers faith communities can encounter when they try to become more dementia friendly. Participants will receive a list of books and websites about the many ways faith communities can serve and be served by people who live with dementia.
