At 16, actor Jennifer Joseph was coerced into a life of drug dealing. Quickly she rose to the very top and was known as The General, travelling the world as a generator and importer of narcotics - with connections to all the major players including "The Cocaine Godmother" Griselda Blanco. Jen thought she was invincible, whilst also battling a daily crack addiction and, eventually, was caught at Gatwick airport with hundreds of thousands of pounds of marijuana and was sent to prison at aged 39.

Jennifer has been a Clean Break Theatre Company member since 2010 - recently performing Hear by Deborah Bruce at The House of Lords. Other stage credits include Phyllida Lloyd’s Shakespeare Trilogy for the Donmar Warehouse, Paradise at the National Theatre & Inside Bitch at The Royal Court. TV & Film include Topboy, My Mad Fat Diary, Honey Trap, Riches & You Used To Be Famous. As a potent advocate for Arts in Prisons, she takes part in outreach programmes about penal issues and is an Ambassador for Women In Prison. Jen is currently working on developing her new theatre company call Nubian CoHearts and is working towards its first complete showing sometime this year.
