In this video I will be replacing the TPMS sensors in my 2009 Outback. The sensors are not OEM but "LIKE" OEM knock offs from Amazon. The patient ran out and Subaru upgraded to a new design; so now you can buy a whole set for $40 shipped.

To program the sensor you will require a scan tool and tire trainer, the tools I use in the video can be purchased off Amazon as well.

There are two ways TPMS sensors are trained.
1. They are woken up and read by the vehicle TPMS module
2. The physical TPMS sensor must be scanned by a "decoder" and the Frequency ID must be entered into the Scan Tool.
Subaru uses Option #1, Toyota uses Option #2,
The BRZ is a Toyota BTW so don't get mad at me
