Welcome to I make you eat! In today's video, we're taking a culinary journey to Thailand by making everyone's favorite street food - Pad Thai! Follow along as we create this mouthwatering dish, balancing sweet, savory, and tangy flavors.

Here's a basic recipe for Pad Thai - Serves 1 or 2 people

Ingredients:
8 oz (about 225g) flat rice noodles
2 tablespoons oil (peanut or vegetable)
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz (225g) protein (chicken, shrimp, tofu, etc.), sliced
2 eggs
2 tablespoons fish sauce
2 tablespoons tamarind paste
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup bean sprouts
4 green onions, sliced
¼ cup crushed peanuts
Lime wedges (for serving)
Chili flakes (optional)

Instructions:
Soak the rice noodles in warm water until softened but still firm. Drain and set aside.

In a wok or large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add garlic and protein, cook until protein is cooked through.

Push the protein to one side of the pan and crack the eggs into the other side. Scramble the eggs until cooked, then mix them with the protein.
Add the drained noodles to the pan.

In a small bowl, mix together fish sauce, tamarind paste, and sugar. Pour over the noodles and toss everything together until well combined.

Stir in bean sprouts *(optional) and green onions, cook for another minute or two until the sprouts are slightly wilted.

Serve Pad Thai topped with the half of the crushed peanuts, lime wedges, and chili flakes if desired.

Enjoy your homemade Pad Thai! Feel free to adjust ingredients and spice levels to your preference.
