1978 Yamaha SR500 bought from
the gulf coast that had been flooded and full of sand and corrosion. Lots of work , lots of time and lots of money of course to get road worthy again. Parts that I was able to save and reuse include the bottom end of engine, top end was destroyed by sand and corrosion. Frame was rusted through, had to be replaced. Front fork legs were reused, mag wheels were reused and that’s about it. My dad gave me the sweet tt500 tank, clips ons, rear caliper, hours of welding. Thanks pops.
