Sarah McTaggart said that she always knew that she wanted to be an artist and over the years that evolved to being a musician, singer, and performer - when she was young writing songs and singing in church.

She actually went to art school and in college studied animation thinking that would be a career move but continued to write and perform music starting with open mic nights at local clubs. It was there that she actually caught the performance bug and began to seriously pursue a singing song writing career.

Transviolet evoloved into an alternative pop-rock band in 2015 with Sarah as the lead vocalist.
