Ford designed Explorer to take customers wherever the road leads. With its broad model lineup, Explorer offers capability, advanced technology and generous space for the day's activities or weekend journeys. This year, Explorer introduces the all-new XLT Sport Appearance Package featuring Carbonized Gray-painted 20" aluminum wheels and exterior accents to create an added layer of style. The interior will be treated with light to medium shades of slate tones, including ActiveX Seating Material with contrast stitching. Limited models and above now feature high-gloss black interior finishes on the center stack, along with satin silver or satin aluminum steering wheel bezels. Explorer offers choices with a Hybrid model: RWD or 4WD configuration. With its no-compromise approach, the performance-oriented ST paired with 4WD fits the build. Explorer has been the #1-selling SUV in the U.S. over the last 30 years.

No-Compromise Hybrid
Explorer Limited Hybrid is a no-compromise Ford hybrid SUV designed to offer a balance between performance, capability and efficiency. With a 3.3L V6 hybrid powertrain that features a 10‑speed modular hybrid transmission, available Intelligent 4WD and cleverly packaged lithium-ion battery, the Limited Hybrid can do everything an EcoBoost-equipped Explorer does.

Meticulously Crafted
From the 12.3" digital instrument cluster with Mindful Mode to the new E-Z Entry second-row seats and PowerFold third-row seats, the interior of the Explorer offers craftsmanship, with spacious and comfortable seating for up to seven. The new XLT Sport Appearance Package includes a unique Light Slate ActiveX Seating Material with darker accent stitching and coordinated door panel inserts. On Limited models and above, high-gloss black accents surround the center stack and buttons.

The Power of Rear-wheel Drive
The rear-wheel drive architecture offers an excellent balance of performance and capability, providing customers the choice of the standard 2.3L EcoBoost I‑4 engine, available 3.0L EcoBoost V6 or 3.3L Hybrid V6 powertrain and up to 5,600 lbs. of maximum towing capacity.(4) Each engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and can be equipped with Intelligent 4WD featuring the Terrain Management System (TMS) with up to 7 selectable drive modes.
