Kia Niro Hybrid 2023 Walkaround - IN-DEPTH Static Review

Hello guys, welcome back to Car Obsession and welcome to another Walkaround. This time it's the new Kia Niro Hybrid, which has entered its second generation and looks as cutting edge as ever. Like the last iteration it's offered as an EV, Plug-In Hybrid, and of course, a Hybrid.

In the UK it's offered in three trim levels; 2, 3 and 4 with prices starting from £28,795, although the model featured in this video is the '3', which has a starting price of £31,545. No matter what trim level you go for you'll get a 1.6 litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol, which is of course helped out by an electric motor.

Power output is 141hp with torque coming in at 265Nm of torque. When it comes to fuel economy Kia states that the new Niro Hybrid can achieve upto 61.4mpg on a combined run and CO2 emissions come in at 107g/km. There is also a Green Zone Drive Mode in which the car is able to use drive data and information from the sat nav to go in to EV mode near landmarks such as schools and hospitals to cut out emissions in more sensitive areas.

The new Kia Niro Hybrid 2023 '3' has standard features including LED lights, 18" alloys, tinted rear windows, keyless entry, black roof rails, leather effect upholstery, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, wireless phone charging pad, dual zone climate control, digital display, 10.25" touchscreen, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, a whole host of safety systems plus more.

The only option on this test car is the 'Steel Grey' paintwork, which is a £595 option. Apart from that, everything you see is standard as is the 7 year warranty you get with any Kia for peace of mind.
