When I ride a roller coaster, I get the sense that many, many highly-paid people who are immensely qualified and intelligent all worked long days so that I, a guy who can't show you the hypotenuse on a triangle, can experience something thrilling and entirely beyond my mental pay grade. Roller coasters are vast, hugely expensive contraptions which serve no practical purpose other than to make the monkey parts of our brain giggle with delight.

In much the same way, I'm sure that many talented and well-compensated engineers worked tirelessly to ensure that the 2020 BMW X5 M Completion stays flat in corners that would send a 15-year-old sports sedan skidding into the ditch. Along the way, they surely fought hard against the sheer bulk of the vehicle they were trying to tame. And why did they do all of this? So that myself or anyone with an IQ higher than three can drive with puppy-like exuberance and make our little monkey brains happy. I'm glad they went through the trouble.
