Due to the 500 W electric generator, the PD-2 UAV is capable of charging both onboard and VTOL batteries during the flight.

The feature allows conducting additional vertical takeoffs and landings, for example for the blood delivery to the injured or the UAV refueling.

It takes just 40 minutes of flight to fully charge the batteries of the VTOL module. Thus, throughout the mission, accumulators can be recharged multiple times. Without automatic batteries recharging, only one VTOL cycle is available, for comparison.
