⋒ My boy turns 14 in Kauai -- Josiah made me a mama.

To say the beginning of motherhood was joyful would be an understatement. Between postpartum depression, lack of milk supply and terrible pain, a colicky baby, and hormones I am just so thankful the Lord sustained us through those years.

The expression “the years are short but the days are long” is so true.
Some days are still long- however, I see glimpses of the man he will be and it makes my heart full.

We are making it and trusting that this sweet young man will walk uprightly with the Lord all the days of his life.
He is a joy. He loves joy and laughter. He notices details in life most don’t. He is tender and is the best at entering in when he sees someone sad. He has the heart of Jesus.
I sure love you, Josiah, may you never lose that God-given smile and joy.
