As Facebook gears up for that rollout of the Libra payments ecosystem, they've decided to refresh and rebrand one of their key subsidiaries, the digital wallet provider Calibra, which has been given a new name and a new look.

In an announcement published earlier this week, the platform's digital wallet has now been rebranded to Novi, a play on the Latin root words, “novus” meaning new and “via” meaning way.

Novi will be the first wallet product available for the Libra once the project goes live, and it's intended to hold Libra’s various digital currencies and assets coming to the platform.
