Almost two weeks later and I finally finished compiling all of the footage from Bimmer Invasion 2023. It really was an awe-inspiring show of beautiful cars, amazing builds, and I am already excited for next year's event. Surprisingly, the drive back home from Orlando, completed in one go; not as grueling as I thought it would be.

Besides seeing all of the wild builds, we met some truly remarkable people. Among them was Rusty Johnson, and his incredible E46 M3 built by Craig Lieberman. I'm saving that story for this Sunday's Talk & Drive, along with other stories from the trip and show. On a side note, it was crazy seeing the Kies G80 in person. I've watched so many videos of that car and Kies Motorsports videos in general, it was like meeting a celebrity (the car I mean, we didn't meet Bryan or Zach).

As for this video.. yeah it's a bit long. Here's the thing, I wanted to shoot as many cars as possible and I think I got most of them, but then figured: who am I to decide which cars should be shown in the video? Why not show them all? Granted it's pretty much what I've done with the other car shows I've filmed, but this is probably the biggest one yet next to Shades of the Past.

Speaking of which, I wanted to include more audio from the show as I think it gives the viewer a more realistic idea of what it's like to be there with the crowds and music, but last time I did that (with Shades of the Past) I got copyright strikes because of the music coming over the PA systems so, thanks douchebag litigious bots - ruin it for everyone.

I also wanted to make it a little more vlog style and include parts from before and after show. There were some missed opportunities; I wish we'd mounted to GoPro to the outside of the car and maybe got a bit more random footage, but I'm happy with how this all came out thoroughly enjoyed the experience of Bimmer Invasion.

The timeline for the cars is a little out of order, but I tried to group it by sections of the park instead of a linear flow so there's the outside cars, cars up front and near the vendor tents, inside Dezerland Park and then in the VIP room (I guess that's what it was called).

Also, a MAJOR thank you to Carely and her daughter Lilly for generously providing the footage from the exhaust and burnout competitions. I couldn't get a good spot by the time the events were happening, but they were right up front and were nice enough to share the videos they took.

Pretty cool quick note on that: we were simultaneously filming the exhaust competition (unbeknownst to either of us since we were strangers - her right up front and me from behind a bunch of people) so I spliced the footage together and matched the audio so it looks like we were able to switch camera angles for a moment.

Anyway, hell of a trip and a huge thank you to the Invasion crew for a very well organized show. Hope you enjoy the footage.
