The Mazda CX-5 turbo has been out for a couple of years and it is nice to get it back to see if it still is a great choice for a family vehicle, for those who want a bit more. Mazda is moving its brand up-market and by adding a premium interior, turbocharged power and good looks enough to justify the price. The Mazda CX-5 is available with a 2.5L turbo 4-cylinder on the GT and standard on the new Signature trim. The Turbocharged engine has 227hp on regular gas and 250hp if the owner puts in premium fuel. The torque output is the same at 310 lb-ft. when either fuel is used. The new Signature trim gets Cocoa Brown Nappa leather and Abachi wood trim
CarPlay and Android Auto, a reconfigurable 7.0-TFT gauge display, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, BOSE® 10-speaker premium sound system, windshield-projected Active Driving Display head-up unit, power folding exterior mirrors, and a frameless rearview mirror with auto-dimming and Homelink® wireless control system, amongst others. Overall these updates help realize a feeling of a higher quality vehicle.
