This is the 250th episode of Kingdom Hearts, "Ancient Assistance".

With the battle between the Guardians of Light and the Heartless a stand-off, even with the ginormous Heartless tornado sucking up Heartless and at least one Dusk Nobody, Sora takes a gambit and attacks the Heartless tornado head-on and is greeted by someone from the past named Ephemer (not mentioned by name in the episode), who grants Sora the ability to control all of the Keyblades in the Keyblade Graveyard (about 10,000 of them) for one enormous attack on the Heartless tornado, which proves successful. But the success is only temporary, because the Riku from when Xehanort was controlling him during KH1, along with Xigbar/Braig, launches another attack using a similar amount of Heartless, and only when Master Yen Sid arrives and finally reveals how much power he still has, do the Guardians of Light have any way of escaping.
