The BMW X3 G01 M40i uses the B58 engine and makes 382 horsepower while the X3M uses the S58 engine and makes 473. With the 2022 BMW X3M Competition, you get a power bump to 503 horsepower. However, the X3M Competition demands a $13,000 premium over the M40i. Now, I've already tested the 2022 BMW X3 M40i and in that video I said you don't really need to go for the X3 M.
