I did not know that you could simply toggle out of manual mode by pulling down on the shifter after having entered manual mode from the paddle shifters. Maybe you knew this, or maybe this video will be helpful for you.

I was chatting with Cliff at Equilibrium Tuning about some random DSG tune stuff, and we ended up in a conversation about DSG manual mode, and the best way to get out of it when you are looking to quickly get back into auto-shifting mode. That's when he hinted to me that he just toggles the gear selector. OMG! How did I not know this?!

Well, now I do, and it seriously changes how I drive the car.

I decided to go out and play around and make a quick video on the different ways to get in and out of manual mode on an MQB DSG car. I think I got them all, but let me know if I missed something. I am positive this works the same for MK7 and MK7.5 Golf GTI or R, and Audi A3, S3 cars... but not sure of the others. I assume it's the same for anything with a dual clutch transmission.
