Julie Rico Williams is a Lecturer in Human Computer Interaction at the University of Glasgow. Her research focuses on how people use technology in public spaces and how interactive technologies can be designed given the “performative” aspects of using technology in public.

We spoke to her after a panel at the Heidelberg Laureate Forum about scientific publishing. Julie rightfully argues for a fairer and better publishing model. Her ideas are definitely worth paying attention to.

Special thanks to the HLF for providing the platform for this sort of interaction to take place!
