While I was editing my new cinematography reel I had a few signifcant realizations that I wanted to share.

It's easy to become obsessed with all of the gear and technical aspects of filmmaking. What I learnt this year is that although all of these things are important, they will never be as important as what's in front of the camera. I learnt that I need to rethink my equipment to ensure that they don't get in the way of what matters most.
