The 2020 Geely Azkarra is Geely Philippines newest and hottest entry into the crossover category. It is a compact crossover that is meant to go head to head against the Toyota RAV4, the Honda CRV, and the Mazda CX5. It's a value for money compact crossover from Geely, with its mild hybrid electric system and a lot of tech and features found inside.

The Azkarra is known as the Proton X70 in Malaysia and Brunei, the Emgrand in other markets like Russia, and the Boyue or Boyue Pro. In this filipino car review, I take it out for a test drive, and discuss the quirks and features of this new car. Though it has more power than the Coolray, the Geely Coolray felt more powerful and faster in terms of acceleration. The Azkarra is more comfortable though, and sports more luxury features that can be found in luxury car segments. This feels more like a budget Volvo but with more tech inside.
