Our full tour and comprehensive review of the 2019 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI explores this iconic vehicle on the 40th anniversary of the original Canadian-market Rabbit GTI from 1979. Our Spotlight covers a brutally honest take on this popular hot hatchback and why we're not sold on the $37,100+ MSRP. Once we present our case for the pricing we continue with the rest of the features on this GTI, like adaptive LED headlights with LED fog lights, Dynamic Chassis Control, Cornflower Blue paint, 18" rims, keyless entry, and automatic wipers. We jump inside with the Clark Cloth plaid seating to talk about the manual front adjustment, heated front seats, dual zone automatic climate control, 8" infotainment, and LED interior lighting.

The meat and potatoes of our review on the GTI requires us to get behind the wheel, and we do just that. We talk about the two things we'd change immediately after leaving the dealership lot, and test the 0-100kph (0-60mph) time, and how this Rabbit GTI performs, handles, and drives on the road. We also go over why the GTI is considered to be such a great driver's car despite it's high price tag.

We wrap up our episode on the 2019 Volkswagen Golf GTI Rabbit with our fuel economy testing compared with the Golf Alltrack and Jetta Execline, and talk about what we liked and disliked the most when it came to the GTI.
