We love off the grid #campsites but on our 5 day #overloading trip we came across this awesome place while we were on our way to Whangamomona Track and couldn't resist to stay the night.
Te Were Lodge, situated 37 kilometres from Stratford on the #ForgottenWorldHighway (SH43) provides a unique opportunity to experience the beauty, serenity and peacefulness of back country Eastern Taranaki whilst at the same time providing an opportunity to “get in tune with nature”.

Wonderful host, and we paid $15 for the night which was a bargain for this stunning place.
