In summer, ants become more active, often appearing in vegetable fields, even in our homes. Today we will share some of the most effective and easiest ways to deal with ants, including the method of killing a part of the ants, the method of completely killing the entire ant colony, and the method of repelling the ants.

In the vegetable garden, the destructive power of ants is still great. First of all, ants will bite some sweet plant roots. What’s more serious is that, although in many cases, ants do not directly eat the vegetables we grow, they will feed a lot of aphids. Ants move aphids to plants, keep them in captivity and protect them, so that their natural enemies dare not come close. If they keep reproducing, more and more aphids will suck the vegetables in the garden together, which will cause serious problems. Therefore, as long as you find ants around the vegetables, you must be very careful. Because when you see ants crawling on vegetable leaves, it is likely that aphids have also appeared on vegetable shoots and stems. Conversely, when you check the vegetable garden regularly and find that there are aphids, there must be ants, and it is time to control ants quickly. Eliminate the ants, and the vegetables you grow can grow freely.

Now let's talk about several methods that can kill the ants you see.
1. Use food-grade diatomaceous earth. If there are few ants in the vegetable field and their range of activity is relatively fixed, diatomaceous earth can be used. Food-grade diatomaceous earth is edible and safe for humans and pets. Diatomaceous earth can kill almost all pests, not only effective against ants, but also cockroaches, fleas and so on. Sprinkle diatomaceous earth in places where ants often haunt them. When ants walk past places with diatomaceous earth, they will not survive as long as the diatomaceous earth gets on them. This method is equally effective for indoor ants.

5. Baking soda with powdered sugar. Like this, take out two small cups, take half a cup of powdered sugar, and half a cup of baking soda, pour the two cups of different substances into a large cup, mix well, and sprinkle this mixture on the ants often infested. The place, the ants will soon find out, and are attracted by the sweetness of the powdered sugar in the mixture, they come to forage. Baking soda can destroy the ant's digestive system, thereby destroying the ant. Because the powdered sugar used in it is the same fine powder as baking soda. When ants eat powdered sugar, they can’t distinguish powdered sugar from baking soda, so they eat the baking soda together. The ants contain baking soda. The powder, and then the powder is continuously moved back to the ant colony. You will be pleasantly surprised to find that there are fewer and fewer ants. The powder of baking soda and sugar gradually wipes out all the ants in the entire ant nest. When the queen is wiped out, there will be no new ants.

6. Borax and sugar. If there are too many ants, you can use borax and powdered sugar to trap them. Borax is very effective in killing ants. The active ingredient in ant medicine in stores is borax. Borax is somewhat toxic, and the dosage should not be too much. Take out one tablespoon of borax and put it in a small bowl that you don't usually use. Use another clean spoon. Take three tablespoons of very fine powdered sugar and put it into this small bowl. Mix the borax and powdered sugar thoroughly. In order to increase the temptation to the ants, I took out a steamed bun, crushed it, made it into a fine powder, and sprayed it with a little water to increase the adhesion. Then, pour these steamed bread residues into a small bowl with borax and powdered sugar, and stir well. This is the desperate meal for the ants and the queen. Because borax is toxic, it is necessary to put ant bait containing borax in a small container that is not easy to be opened by pets. This is just right. I like to use this beautiful little coke bottle. Use a soldering iron to burn a few small holes on this bottle to let the aroma of steamed bread residue and the sweetness of powdered sugar come out, and it is convenient for ants to get in and out. When the coke bottle is ready, I will pour the mixture into the coke bottle. Just put the Coke bottle in the vegetable plot, and the ants will find it by themselves. A few hours later, let’s take a look at what happened in the Coke bottle. You see, how happy these ants are now. They are enjoying a delicious meal. When they are full, the ants will transport the poisonous mixture back to the ant colony and contribute it to the queen and other ants working in the ant colony. In this way, before long, the ants in the entire ant nest, including the queen, will be gradually eliminated. Of course, some other pests, such as cockroaches, will also be wiped out if they eat the borax mixture scattered from the small holes.
