Now you might be asking yourself why a leather worker with no 3D printing experience would want to check out a 3D printer...and that’s a very fair question since I had the exact same one when Kokoni first reached out. But I figured if it was truly as “out of the box” ready and easy to use as they claimed, I might be able to use it to make custom leather debossing stamps. And if I could, I could use those stamps to add some customization for people or companies when I get commissioned batch jobs and charge a little extra, so I figured why not! And I think this printer delivered on exactly what they claim it to be…it truly is an out of the box, ready to go, entry level printer. And even with zero 3D printing experience I was able to successfully make my first print within the first hour of opening it. Now I think if you’re going to get really into 3D printing, you’d probably outgrow this machine pretty quickly. But if you just want to get into 3D printing and have some fun, or do something really specific like I’m planning to use it for, I think it’s a great option!
