This is my version of the theme music of the movie 'The Terminator' as composed by Brad Fiedel in 1984. Created in only a few hours time with Magix Samplitude Music Studio 16, a 69 Euro software package.

Here is some general background for this video and the channel as a whole...

Although I created my Youtube channel on may 5th, 2007, this is the oldest upload that is still left on my channel, and it dates back to March 22nd, 2010. All of this making me one of the OG's of Youtube. As I am writing this in January of 2022, my Youtube channel is almost 15 years old!

Today I started to internally clean up the channel. I will remove videos that I think no longer serve any purpose to my channel, or that don't fit the range of topic that I want my channel to deal with.
Music is one of the topics that will remain important to me for the rest of my life. So I decided to keep this video on my channel. It's a good example of the kind of music I created in 2011. I just bought my Yamaha electric piano and connected it to my computer and my Magix Samplitude Music Studio software. I was exited to be able to create results like these.

The images you see in this video are actually shot close to my home. In this video I am sailing in my own boat near my home. Yes, life can be good.

The video has a 90% like-to-dislike ratio, which I think is more than fair. Music videos are always vulnerable to differences in appreciation of the audience. But I guess that 90% is a very acceptable ratio. As it appears, the vast majority of people who watched this video think it is worth their time.

This video actually only generated about 1,500 views between March 22nd, 2010 and January 26nd, 2022. Those 1,500 views resulted in a whopping 0.37 Euro revenue. Yes dear viewers, that indeed is a 0.37 Euro revenue in almost 15 years time! That is an absolutely horrific RPM (revenue per thousand views) of about 0.25 Euros per 1000 views. Note that some Youtubers, the really successful ones, have RPM's of about 5 to 10 Euros per 1000 views.

Strangely so, 0.21 Euro of this 0.37 Euro revenue was generated during the last 12 months. So for you statistic fans out there, that is almost 57% of the revenue in less than 7% of the lifespan of the video. That is interesting.

So , I am updating the meta-data for this video, I wrote this explanation and I will throw in a new thumbnail, because this one is meaningless. It is told my those who are in the know, that a total revision of the meta-data of a video, can boost its performance. Sure. W'll see about that.

Not much to update. This by the way is not the first video I ever uploaed to Youtube, but it is the oldest still remaining video on this channel. I upload it om March 10, 2010.

I thought I did a decent job with this cover, at least, by my own standards. There are much more talented musicians on Youtube who do all kinds of movie music. My favorite is Rich Douglas, you can find him on Youtube at    / @richdouglas  . Highly recommended!
