This video is a complete walkthrough for the Bondtech DDX extruder upgrade for your Creality 3D printer. I am also installing a Slice Engineering Mosquito Magnum hot end with 50W heater cartridge and 300 degree thermistor. This combination gives superior extrusion performance over the standard Creality extruder / hot end combination. I am taking advantage of the increased capabilities and will be running a 0.8mm nozzle for higher throughput and lower print times.

The upgrades are being performed on a Creality Ender 5 PLUS, however, most of the procedure is nearly identical for most Creality machines as they use so many of the same parts. Also, if you just want the DDX extruder and you want to reuse your Creality hot end, you can do that too! The Bondtech DDX is a modular extruder where different adapters can be used to mate different hot ends. If you are not using a Mosquito Magnum hot end, find the right adapter (the Creality adapter comes in the Creality kit that can be purchased from Bondtech).

Various links and resources can be found below that will provide even more information for this swap. Overall it is not too difficult, just take your time and make sure your wiring is safe!
