Over 25 years ago, D. Gary Young paved the way for the entire essential oil industry today. His back-breaking work in France and feeding the boiler all night earned him the privilege of being taught by the man running the distillery how to cultivate and distill French lavender. His experimentation with growing and distilling oils, along with the research, exploration, and testing, planted the deep roots our industry's trees depend on today. Not only is it important to understand the company’s roots, it’s important to understand your own as individuals, and how that ties in to our collective story.
