Luckily for this Home owner the foundation did not completely fail and they were able to remain living in the home during the repairs. Others have not been so lucky. There are warning signs, horizontal cracks and soft bottom blocks. As the owner of Hydroarmor Basement Waterproofing I have done many estimates and do warn, "a foundation with a horizontal crack can last for many years, OR, it can collapse the next time it rains.
