I did a trikes exclusive tour recently in the San Juan Islands near Seattle in Washington State that was organized by Mel and Janet of RecumbentPDX. RecumbentPDX is a Catrike exclusive mega shop in Portland with more than 150 trikes on the showroom floor. There were 27 trikers on this San Juan Islands tour, mostly riding Catrike brand trikes with e-assist. The tour was put together primarily to showcase Catrikes for Mel's shop. Just a few of us brought our own trikes. Mel loaded up over 20 Catrikes on 3 vehicles for everyone else to ride. Most of the trikes also included e-assist. You will probably recognize many of the cycling people in the video. Gary Solomon and Tray Bourgoyne of the Laidback Bike Report, Matt Galat of the Jayoe Nation Youtube channel, Zach Kaplan of Zach Kaplan Cycles in Alameda, Dana Lieberman of BentUp Cycles in North Hollywood, Mel and Paul Heijn of RecumbentPDX and Pat Franz of T-Cycle in Portland joined me, Peter, Steve Sussman, Paula and Leslie with many more of Mel's friends from his Chicago days.

We used Friday Harbor as home base taking ferries with just the trikes to various islands exploring this beautiful place for a few days. I was one of 14 who contracted Covid on this trip which you can hear in my scratchy voice at the end of the video.
