The new adventure film, "Adventures in the Center of the Earth 2: The Mysterious Island," begins when 17-year-old Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson) receives a set of coded distress signals from a mysterious island that no one knows about.
　　Unable to dissuade Sean from tracking down the source of the signals, Sean's stepfather, Hank (played by Dawn Johnson), has no choice but to accompany him on this journey to the South Pacific. Their final destination is an island that few living people have ever seen. It is a mysterious paradise with beautiful scenery, birds and flowers, exotic animals, gold volcanoes, and a lot of other things.
　　The two of them find only one helicopter pilot who is willing to take the risk with them, Gabato (Luis Guzman), and his beautiful, strong daughter, Kailani (Vanessa Hudgens), and the four of them embark on this journey to find the island together. Along the way, they not only save the island's only human inhabitant, but also escape from an earthquake that floods the island and buries its infinite treasures. All of this takes place in "Adventures in the Center of the Earth 2: The Mysterious Island," another thrilling adventure following the worldwide success of 2008's "Adventures in the Center of the Earth 1: Journey to the Center of the Earth.
