Headphones in, volume up. Have a listen to one of the most anticipated sports cars of the year. The new C8 Corvette Stingray is equipped with a naturally aspirated 6.2-litre V8, and while this model comes with the performance exhaust, I think we can all agree that it could sound louder. We know the potential of this small block V8 from our time with the Z06, though this mid-engined placement and its unique exhaust does make some decent noises under wide open throttle. There are even some burbles on throttle overrun in second gear too. The dual-clutch makes for some wicked downshift noises as well. Enjoy.
Note: the microphone in this video was mounted outside next to the actual exhaust, so what you're hearing is from the outside, not the driver's seat.
