It was an evening to celebrate the legacy of social change campaigner Rev. Harry Herbert, and to champion the social reforms needed to disrupt entrenched disadvantage in Australia.

Featuring leading UK writer, policy adviser and social innovator, Charles Leadbeater, the Rev. Harry Herbert Oration explored how radical collaboration can bring radical impact.

The event also featured Federal Liberal MP Julian Leeser, who became the inaugural winner of the Uniting Award for Political Courage.

Uniting established the Uniting Award for Political Courage to recognise the political figures who share our values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative and bold – and who lead with conscience as they practise these values in the name of social justice.
