ToPa 3D has been using the Matterport scanner in tandem with the FARO Focus3D phase-shift scanner on every project since 2016. This article showcases two projects that used both scanners and compares the Matterport point cloud to the FARO point cloud using the open source platform named CloudCompare.
CloudCompare is a deep software platform with a great deal of complexity and offers many options to users for comparative analysis between point clouds and meshes.
In this analysis, ToPa 3D explores:
1. The HVI Project with General Sheet Metal Works and Lease Crutcher Lewis - a rehabilitation gym new construction project located near Beaverton. Oregon at St. Vincent Hospital.
